Don't miss out on our fourth annual triathlon! On Saturday, August 1, 2009, Tri-Masters and 5th Ward Alderman Leslie Hairston (with the support of the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District) will be hosting South Shore's fourth annual triathlon. Swimming, biking and running will combine into a day of fun for all! And, this event is a great way to promote self confidence, physical fitness and a positive attitude for our youth athletes and our first-time adult triathletes.

The weekend's events begin with the South Shore Tri Package Pick-up on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 5th Ward Alderman Leslie Hairston's Office in Chicago's South Shore Community. Located at: 2325 East 71st Street, Chicago, from 1pm - 7pm.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 1, 2009
Transition opens at 5:30am SOUTH SHORE TRI (Ages 15 and over)
7:00 am race start for South Shore Tri (mandatory race talk at 6:45am)

TRI-MASTERS INVITATIONAL KIDS TRIATHLON (Ages 7-14)
8:00am race start for Tri-Masters Invitational Kids Triathlon (mandatory race talk at 7:45am) The swim takes place in Lake Michigan with a beach start in shallow water. The bike and run take place on the lake front path and through Jackson Park (on closed streets). This event is a great opportunity for kids and for adults competing in their first triathlon.
